Boerewors and Macaroni


  • 500g Macaroni
  • Boerewors
  • 1 Medium Chopped Onion
  • 2 Tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 1 Teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 Teaspoon Curry Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Mixed Herbs
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • 1 Cup of water
  • Black Pepper


  1. Cook the pasta and set aside.
  2. Remove the boerewors from the casting, and make small balls. Cook both sides until browned.
  3. Once boerewors balls are cooked, remove them from the pot and set aside.
  4. In the same pot, using the oil from the boerewors, add onion, garlic and cook until the onion is softened.
  5. Add paprika, cumin, curry powder, mixed herbs. Mix well.
  6. Add tomato paste. Cook for a minute.
  7. Add 1 cup of water. Cook until the water has reduced and thickened. Add the boerewors back into the pot and add the sweet chilli sauce.
  8. Add the cooked pasta and black pepper and mix well.
  9. Enjoy
