• Sliced cow heels
  • 4 Cloves Garlic
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup Zamgold cooking Oil
  • 1 Large Onion
  • 2 Medium Tomato, chopped
  • 1tsp Curry powder
  • 1Tbspn Tomato paste


  1. Wash heels thoroughly under running water.
  2. Season well with salt and black pepper.
  3. Sear the cow heels in a pot with cooking oil just to seal in the flavor and to browning.
  4. Add 2 cups water and garlic, cover and bring to boil on low heat for 3 hours or until tender
  5. In a pan, saute the onions and tomatoes and then add curry powder and tomato paste until gravy thickens.
  6. Transfer the gravy to the pot with the cow heels and combine well. Cook for an additional 30mins.
