Zambian Styled Dry Kapenta

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried kapenta
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • green pepper
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • Zamgold cooking Oil
  • Salt

Method

  • Fry up your kapenta in a dry pan for 5 minutes.
  • Let the kapenta then soak in warm water for 5 quick minutes.
  • Remove from warm water.
  • Add 4 tablespoons of cooking oil to pan and heat.
  • Add kapenta and salt to pan.
  • Fry kapenta until brown
  • Ready your chopped ingredients.
  • Add in the onions first with some curry powder followed by the tomato and continue frying.
  • Lastly, add green pepper and continue frying.
  • Serve
