Easy Pasta & Meatballs

Ingredients

500g ground beef (or pork & beef mix)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp salt & pepper (to taste)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 jar (500g) tomato pasta sauce
300g spaghetti or your favourite pasta
Fresh parsley or basil (for garnish)

Method

  1. Make the Meatballs:
  • In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, Parmesan, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  • Roll into small meatballs (about 1 inch in size).

2. Cook the Meatballs:

  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Brown the meatballs on all sides (about 5-7 minutes). Remove and set aside.

3. Simmer in Sauce:

  • In the same pan, pour in the tomato sauce.
  • Add the meatballs back and let them simmer for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked.

4. Cook the Pasta:

  • Boil water with a pinch of salt.
  • Cook pasta according to package instructions (usually 8-10 minutes). Drain.

5. Assemble & Serve:

  • Toss pasta with sauce & meatballs.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley/basil and extra Parmesan.
  • Serve & enjoy!
